The price adjustments follow a sharp decline in crude oil prices in the international market. The revised rates officially came into effect at 12:01 AM on Wednesday (July 1, 2026).
The NOC has slashed prices across various fuel categories as follows:
| Fuel Type |
Price Reduction |
| Petrol |
Reduced by Rs. 20 per liter |
| Diesel & Kerosene |
Reduced by Rs. 30 per liter |
| Aviation Fuel (Domestic) |
Reduced by Rs. 40 per liter |
| Cooking Gas (LPG) |
Reduced by Rs. 100 per cylinder |
Prior to this decision, soaring fuel costs had triggered widespread public pressure, with citizens and various sectors demanding relief as rising transportation expenses drove up overall market inflation.
This substantial price cut is anticipated to lower public transportation fares and freight costs, ultimately playing a critical role in cooling down market inflation and easing the cost of living.
