The company earned a net profit of Rs 653.1 million at the end of the last FY. It was 25.36 percent lower compared to Rs 875 million of the corresponding period of the previous FY.
The net interest income of the company decreased to Rs 1.27 billion from Rs 1.79 billion in the previous year. Similarly, operating profit decreased to Rs 930 million from Rs 1.27 billion.
Although the net profit decreased in the review period, the ability of the microfinance company to pay dividends is high due to accumulated profit and regulatory adjustments. After the regulatory adjustment, the total distributable profit of the microfinance company stood at Rs 1.64 billion as of mid-July.
Based on the paid-up capital, the distributable profit per share has been maintained at Rs 33.46, which provides a strong foundation for the shareholders to pay attractive dividend in the current financial year as well.
The financial base and paid-up capital of the microfinance company has expanded compared to the corresponding period of the previous FY. The company's paid-up capital has increased from Rs 4.31 billion to Rs 4.92 billion. The microfinance company's reserve fund stood at Rs 4.33 billion in the review period. The net loan disbursed by the microfinance company to small farmers and other cooperatives increased from Rs 34.30 billion to Rs 35.39 billion. The total assets of the microfinance company increased from Rs 41.50 billion to Rs 41.99 billion.
