According to Arjun Ghimire, engineer for the Division Road Office, Chitwan, landslides struck the route at Tuin Khola, Namsi Khola, Simaltal, 15 Kilo and 17 Kilo. The disasters led to the one-way operation of the route.
With the removal of the landslides at those locations, the road has been operational after 10:00 am.
The company is carrying out construction works in the Tuin Khola (river) area has itself engaged in the clearance of landslide depositions along the road.
Passengers are advised to travel with caution, as there is a possibility of landslides occurring the highway at any time. (RSS)
