Panchthar Power Company's Sales Revenue rises Significantly

Panchthar Power Company (PPCL) company has published fourth quarter financial report of the last FY. According to the report, the company's electricity sales income has increased significantly compared to the previous FY.

The company has earned Rs 377.8 million from the sale of electricity in the review perod. Such revenue was Rs 89 million in the previous FY. As the floods in Ashar 2080 damaged the project and the floods occurred again on Asoj 12, 2081, had damaged the civil structures, power house and electro-mechanical equipment of the project. There has been a decrease in electricity sales income of the previous fiscal year as the company resumed electricity generation from 16th Chaitra 2081 only after the repair work was completed.

The company has become profitable along with revenue garnered from sale of electricity. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 85.1 million in the fourth quarter of the last FY. The company was in loss of Rs 6107 million in the corresponding period of the previous FY.

During the period, the company logged a total profit of Rs 377.8 million and Rs 136.4 million in financial expenses.

During the period, the company has EPS of Rs 8.85 and net worth per share of Rs 98.65. Similarly, the company's price-to-earnings ratio during the period stood at 37.30 times.

The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 962.5 million and reserve loss of Rs 12.9 million.
