Terhathum Power EPS Rises Along With Profit

Terhathum Power Company (TPC) has published fourth quarter financial report of the last FY. According to the report, the net profit of the company has increased significantly compared to the corresponding period of the previous FY.

The company earned a net profit of Rs 89.3 million in the review period. The net profit increased by 288.40 percent compared to Rs 23 million in the same quarter of the previous FY.

The company's net profit has increased significantly due to increase in electricity sales income and decrease in financial expenses.

In the review period, the company's electricity sales income increased by 17.86 percent to Rs 182.6 million. Similarly, the company's total profit increased by 24.19 percent and operating profit by 22.38 percent. The company's financial expenses decreased by 62.02 percent in the review period, which led to a significant increase in net profit.

Along with the profit, the company's earnings per share also increased. During the review period, the income of the company increased by Rs 5.42 to Rs 11.17. At the end of the fourth quarter, the company had a net worth per share of Rs 130.64 and P/E ratio of 31.25 times.

The company has paid-up capital of Rs 800 million and reserve fund of Rs 29 million.
