On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 4.66 points to close at 2,542.77 points. Likewise, the sensitive index increased by 0.31 points, while the float index increased by 0.15 points and the sensitive float index increased by 0.12 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. A total of 12,163,763 shares worth Rs 3.46 billion were traded in 40,692 trades on the day.
On the day, the share price of Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha rose by 8.76 percent. Similarly, share prices of Chirakhwa Hydropower surged by more than 8.5 percent and Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha by 8.5 percent. Meanwhile, shares of Pure Energy were the biggest losers on the day, falling 13.33 per cent.
On the basis of turnover, Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list volume on the day. The company's shares worth Rs 409 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower worth Rs 135 million were traded on the day, while the turnover of Solu Hydropower reached Rs 125 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of nine sub-groups have increased while the indices of four sub-groups have decreased. The index of the investment sub-group increased the most by 1.26 percent on this day. Likewise, the index of the trading sub-group has increased by more than 1 percent on the day. The indices of finance, hydropower, non-life insurance and other sub-groups decreased on the day.
