On Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 18.07 points to close at 2,560.84 points. On the day, the sensitive index increased by 4.46 points, while the float index increased by 1.32 points and the sensitive float index increased by 1.52 points.
Along with index, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. A total of 92,98,094 units of shares worth Rs 3.83 billion were traded in 50,844 transactions on the day.
Today, shares of Pure Energy are trading at a positive circuit level. The company's share price rose by Rs 99.30 to close at Rs 761.30 on the day. Similarly, share prices of Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha surged by over 7.5 percent, while share prices of Shreenagar Agritech, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha and Sagar Distillery surged over 6 percent each. Meanwhile, share prices of Emerging Nepal, Sindhu Bikas Bank and Janaki Finance fell the most by 15 percent on the day.
On the basis of turnover volume, Reliance Spinning Mills topped the list on the day. Shares worth Rs 252.1 million were traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Garima Development Bank worth Rs 180 million were traded on the day, while Solu Hydropower Bank's turnover crossed Rs 160 million.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 11 sub-groups have increased while the indices of two sub-groups have decreased. The non-life insurance sub-group index increased by 2.05 percent on the day. Likewise, the banking and production and processing sub-group indices increased by more than 1 percent on the day. The indices of the finance and trade sub-groups decreased marginally on the day.
