The company's 235th Board of Directors meeting decided to invest the amount through the purchase of promoter shares in the hydropower projects promoted by Bijaya Shree Sugar Mills Limited and Vision Tesla Power Pvt. Ltd.
Bijaya Shree Sugar Mills: Hathway will invest up to Rs 250 million by buying 250 million units of promoter shares of Bijay Shree Sugar Mills at Rs 100 per share.
Induwa Khola Hydropower Project: The company will invest up to Rs 150 million in the 24.921 MW 'Induwa Khola PROR Hydropower Project' being constructed in Makalu Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district by Vision Tesla Power Pvt. Ltd. For this, the company has decided to buy 1.5 million units of promoter shares at Rs 100 per share.
As per the company, the expansion in these areas is in line with the company's policy of diversifying investments regionally and ensuring long-term returns.
