The company earned a net profit of Rs 252.3 million during the period compared to Rs 300 million of the review period of the last FY.
Although the company's revenue increased impressively during the season, the net profit decreased by 16 percent compared to last year due to cost pressure and support to the Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
During the review period, the company's core business income increased by 12 percent to Rs 2.24 billion from Rs 2.37 billion in the same period last year. All business groups, including home care, have performed strongly due to festive market expansion and volume-based growth. However, the net profit was affected due to increased raw material costs, adverse product mix and inflationary pressures.
In addition, the company also provided Rs 50 million cash assistance and other essentials to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the rescue and rehabilitation of the affected communities in the Bhotekoshi floods that occurred in August. If this emergency relief contribution is adjusted, the core business's real net profit fell by only about 4 percent.
The company has paid-up capital of Rs 92.1 million and reserve and accumulated profit of Rs 5.27 billion. The company logged EPS of Rs 274 and net worth per share of Rs 5,830.
