
During the period, the fund collected the deposit (provident fund) from 550,000 contributors. The fund has a provident fund of Rs 245.27 billion and a reserve fund of Rs 6.27 billion. Similarly, the fund has other liabilities and provision of Rs 2.44 billion and has a balance of Rs 1.65 billion.
EPF manage the provident funds of Army and Police personnel, Civil servants, employees of state-owned corporations and teachers of government schools in Nepal.
According to the company, it credited 0.65 percent profit on the basis of the preliminary reserve of the FY 2072/73 to the contributors in a separate account. The company said that the fund has been invested ensuring 40 percent share ownership to the contributors in Betan Karnali Hydropower Company promoted by EPF, Nepal Electricity Authority and Electricity Development Corporation.
