Kulman Ghising, Executive Director of NEA and Mani Chaulagai, CEO of Promoter Company of the project signed an agreement amid a program on Tuesday.
As per the agreement, NEA will purchase the electricity generated by Upper Aankhukhola Hydropower at the rate of Rs 8.80 during winter season and Rs 4.40 during rainy season. The project is expected to complete within next four years i.e. 2022 December 30 and connect to national grid.
The total capacity of the project is 38 MW and estimated to cost Rs 8 billion.
