Net Profit of Shikhar Insurance Increases by 10.64%

The net profit of Shikhar Insurance (SICL) has increased by 10.64 percent to Rs 105.7 million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 95.5 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

During the period, the company collected net insurance premium of Rs 458 million which was Rs 405 million in the last FY.

The company earned reinsurance commission of Rs 110 million and investment, loan and other income of Rs 47.3 million during the period.

The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 1.05 billion. It has maintained reserve fund of Rs 295.6 million, insurance fund of Rs 904 million and disaster fund of Rs 52.9 million.

In the review period, the company issued 79,130 insurance policies through which it earned Rs 8.77 billion in total insurance premium.

The company paid Rs 360.8 million on 1,893 claims. The company has EPS of Rs 39.99, net worth per share of Rs 218.46 and P/E ratio of 22.5 times.
