Financial Standing of Janata Bank and Century Bank in Q3

Janata Bank Nepal (JBNL) has increased its net profit by 60.53 percent to Rs 1.02 billion compared to the corresponding period of the last FY. In the meantime, the net profit of Century Commercial Bank (CCBL) has decreased by 9.06 percent to Rs 610 million in the review period.

With the growth in net profit, the EPS of Janata Bank has reached Rs 17.06 while of Century Bank has declined to Rs 9.87. In the review period of the last FY, Janata had EPS of Rs 10.63 and Century had EPS of Rs 11.10.

In the review period, Janata Bank maintained distributable income of Rs 617.3 million while Century Bank has Rs 345.9 million in distributable profit. Janata Bank logged Rs 62.3 million in retained earnings and Century Bank logged Rs 826.7milllion in the same.

During the period, Janata Bank collected deposit of Rs 70.44 billion and extended loan of Rs 64.70 billion. Similarly, Century Bank collected deposit of Rs 57.82 billion and extended loan of Rs 57.39 billion.

In the review period, Janata Bank and Century Bank maintained reserve fund of Rs 1.75 billion and Rs 1.18 billion respectively.

Net Profit of Civil  Bank Decreases by 35%

The net profit of Civil Bank (CBL) has decreased by 35.40 percent in the fourth quarter of the last FY. The bank earned a net profit of Rs 457 million in the review period compared to Rs 700.7 million of the corresponding period of the previous FY.
