Net Profit of Arun Valley Hydropower Increases 74.51%

Arun Valley Hydropower (AHPC) has increased its net profit by 74.51 percent to Rs 41.7 million compared to Rs 23.9 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Increase in sale of electricity and other income helps the company to raise the net profit in the review period. Moreover, the company capped its administration and project expenses.

During the period, the EPS of the company increased to Rs 5.97 compared to Rs 3.42 of the last FY.

The company earned Rs 42 million from the sale of electricity. The income increased by 18.23 percent during the review period. In the review period of the last FY, such income was Rs 35.5 million.

Similarly, other income of the company raised by 152.04 percent to Rs 30.4 million. The company decreased its administrative expenses by 61.09 percent to Rs 2.6 million and project expenses by 44.11 percent to Rs 3.6 million.

The company with Rs 933 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 66.3 million. The company has net worth per share of Rs 107.11 and P/E ratio of 17.10 times.
