Surya Life Earns Net Insurance Premium of Rs 1.49bn

The net insurance premium of Surya Life Insurance (SLICL) has increased by Rs 456.9 million to Rs 1.49 billion in the third quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 1.04 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY.

The company earned Rs 137.1 million in net profit in the review period. Such profit was Rs 97.7 million in the corresponding period of the last FY.  

The company earned Rs 306 million from investment, loan and other income.

The company with Rs 1.13 billion in paid-up capital has life insurance fund of Rs 4.64 billion, reserve fund of Rs 457.4 million and disaster fund of Rs 67 million.

The company issued 378,000 insurance policies and has earned Rs 1.54 billion in total insurance premium. The company paid Rs 180.2 million to 1,238 claims and has outstanding claim payment of Rs 17.4 million to 310 claims.

During the period, the company maintained Rs 16.15 in EPS, Rs 146.34 in net worth per share and has P/E ratio of 32.50 times.
