Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has barred banks and financial institutions (BFIs) from collecting arbitrary charges for their services to the customers.
Issuing a circular on Monday, July 15, NRB set a definite mechanism regarding such service charge collections.
In recent time, complaints about the aberrant collection of service charge by BFIs were increasing in public.
The net profit of development banks has declined less compared to commercial banks and finance companies in the third quarter.
