Everest Bank Raises Net Profit by 18%

Everest Bank (EBL) has increased its net profit by 17.83 percent to Rs 3.04 billion in the fourth quarter of the last FY compared to Rs 2.58 billion of the corresponding period of the previous FY.

As per the financial report published under NFRS format, the bank earned Rs 2.18 billion in distributable profit in the fourth compared to Rs 2.70 billion of the review period of the previous FY. Based on the distributable amount, the bank can distribute a dividend of 26 percent to this shareholders.

The bank with Rs 8 billion in paid-up capital has a reserve fund of Rs 7.10 billion. During the period, the bank collected a deposit of Rs 129 billion and extended loan of Rs 104 billion.

Similarly, the bank increased its net interest income by 15.84 percent to Rs 5.63 billion. The bank maintained a non-performing loan of 0.16 percent, EPS of Rs 37.57, net worth per share of 217.52 and P/E ratio of 17.72 during the period.
