Gurans Life Insurance Earns Net Premium of Rs 1.89 Bn

Gurans Life Insurance (GLICL) has increased its net insurance premium by Rs 443.7 million to Rs 1.89 billion in the fourth quarter of the last FY compared to Rs 1.44 billion of the corresponding period of the previous FY.

The company earned Rs 509.4 million from investment, loan and other income and Rs 76.8 million from loan against insurance policies of Rs 352.2 million.

In the review period, the company earned net profit of Rs 76.4 million compared to Rs 40.1 million of the previous FY.

The company with Rs 929.4 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 279.3 million, life insurance fund of Rs 5.82 billion and disaster fund of Rs 35.9 million.

Till date, the company issued 200,762 insurance policies and collected Rs 7.80 billion in insurance premium. By the period, the company paid Rs 405.9 million to 1,128 claims. It has outstanding claims of Rs 681,000 million.

In the review period, the company logged EPS of Rs 8.22, net worth per share of Rs 133.92 and P/E ratio of 56.54 times.
