Siddhartha Bank Starts Issuing Debentures Worth Rs 2 Bn

Siddhartha Bank (SBL) has started issuing 2.5 million units of debentures worth Rs 2.5 billion from August 22. The bank is issuing '10.25% Siddhartha Bank Debenture 2083' having a maturity period of 7 years at a face value of Rs 1000.

Out of the total offered units, the bank has allocated 1 million units to the general public while the remaining will be privately financed.

The bank has appointed NMB Capital as its issue manager.

The interested investors can apply for a minimum of 25 units and a maximum of 1 million units from all C-ASBA approved BFIs and meroshare.  The issue will close early on August 26 and lately on September 22.

As per the bank, the debenture yields 10.25 percent interest rate annually payable semi-annually.

ICRA Nepal has assigned LA- (ICRA L A Minus) rating to the issue indicating low credit risk.
