IB Bars Companies to Brand Bancassurance as ‘Free Insurance’

Insurance Board (IB) has prohibited using the term ‘free insurance’ for any bancassurance product promoted under an agreement between BFIs and insurance companies.

Earlier, Chiranjibi Chapagain, Chairman of IB also requested the related companies to refrain from using the term such as free insurance.

As per the board, the term used by various BFIs and insurance companies in their promotional content might have a negative impact on the overall insurance sector. Moreover, any company that uses insurance product in a promotional content must reveal the name of the insurance company as well.

 




NEPSE publishes list of 123 companies eligible for margin trading

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has published a new list of listed companies eligible for margin trading. According to the chapter 3 (8)1 of the Margin Transaction Facility Procedure, 2082, NEPSE has qualified 123 companies for trading.
