National Life Insurance  Earns Rs 115 Mn in Net Profit

National Life  Insurance (NLICN) has earned a net profit of Rs 115.3 million in the first quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 84.9 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Similarly, the company earned net insurance premium of Rs 1.91 billion compared to Rs 1.37 billion of the last FY.

During the period, the company earned Rs 9.3 million from reinsurance, Rs 566.1 million from investment, loan and other income and Rs 90.5 million from loan against insurance policies.

The company with Rs 3.74 billion in paid-up capital has maintained reserve fund of Rs 657.4 million, disaster fund of Rs 228.4 million and life insurance fund of Rs 28.64 billion.

 By the period, the company issued 745,026 insurance policies and has 1.93 billion in total insurance premium. The company paid Rs 649.6 million to 5,370 claims and has outstanding claim payment of Rs 266.7 million.

The company has EPS of Rs 15.35, net worth per share of Rs 121.86 and P/E ratio of 29.32 times.
