Universal Power Earns Rs 15 Mn in Net Profit

Universal Power Company (UPCL) has earned a net profit of Rs 15 million in the first quarter of the current FY. 

The company is developing 11MW hydropower project in Khare Khola of Dolakha District. The company is currently studying upper Inkhu Khola Hydropower Project and has signed agreement on 45 MW Kesuwa Khola Hydropower Project.

In the review period, the company earned Rs 24.2 million from other resources. The company spent Rs 1.8 million in administrative expenses.

The company with Rs 2.10 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 58 million. The company has long term debt of Rs 1.05 billion and short term loan of Rs 15.3 million.

The company maintained quarterly EPS OF Rs 0.73, net worth per share of Rs 102.77, total asset per share of Rs 158.35 and P/E ratio of 106.85.
