The project is the largest one in State-5.

Inaugurating the contact office, Minister Pun said the project would be a game changer for State-5. There are various 14 projects under construction in the Rapti basin. The largest power project will have joint investment from Nepal and China.

According to him, it would take eighteen months to complete the detailed project report. Both the companies from Nepal and China are experienced ones. As the project is a reservoir one, the water from it would be used for irrigation in Dang district.
