Nepal Bankers Association Holds Meeting to Address Lockdown; Take Decisions

The meeting of Nepal Bankers' Association held on the morning of March 25 has  taken several decisions regarding the operation of banks amid the lockdown.

The meeting of NBA decided to refill all ATMs regularly to ensure adequate cash for withdrawal. Similarly, the association will promote digital banking and provide support to customers (over telephone/email) to resolve their queries.

Likewise, banking branches will display the contact person of two officials who can be reached out in case of emergency or urgent matter. The association has decided to close the branches with ATMs as customers approach bank to withdraw cash. However, the branches which do not have ATMs will be opened for few hours.
