Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has directed Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) to commence regular duties from Sunday, May 10. However, the board directed NEPSE to start securities trading from Tuesday, May 12 as per Bhishma Raj Dhungana, Chairman of SEBON.

The board directed NEPSE to open the stock market considering the possible negative consequences due to the long closure of the market. The board has directed to give more preference for online trading. The market will be opened for only two hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Moreover, the board has made a few changes in circuit breaker rules. In a bid to control the huge possibility of manipulation, the market will go into a circuit breaker in two percent volatility.
