Sanima Bank Increases Net Profit, EPS Decreases

Sanima Bank (SANIM) has published third quarter report of the current FY. As per the report, the net profit of the bank has increased however; its EPS has decreased during the period.

In the third quarter, the bank earned net profit of Rs 1.61 billion. The net profit increased by Rs 43.3 million compared to Rs 1.57 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Increase in operating profit and net interest income pulled its net profit during the period.

The bank earned net interest income of Rs 3.24 billion in the review period and operating profi of Rs 2.29 billion. The net interest income and operating profit of the bank increased by Rs 322.9 million and Rs 55.2 million during the period.

Despite an increase in net profit, its EPS has decreased during the period. The EPS of the bank which was Rs 26.52 in the last FY has declined to Rs 24.77.

The bank with paid-up capital of Rs 8.80 billion has reserve fund of Rs 3.24 billion and shareholder fund of Rs 643.7 million. The bank has distributable profit of Rs 576.7 million and non-performing loan of 0.36 percent.

The bank logged P/E ratio of 13.08 times and net worth per share of Rs 144.24.
