Highest Number of COVID-19 Cases Recorded in 24hrs; Active Cases Exceed 25,000

On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, Nepal has confirmed 3,439 new COVID-19 cases which is the highest add-on in 24 hours period.  With this, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 94,253 in the country. Out of them, 25,007 are active cases.

Out of the total detected cases today, 1,684 are from Kathmandu Valley. Kathmandu reported 1,296, Lalitpur 293 and Bhaktapur reported 95 infections.

Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 1,126 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery. The number of total recovered cases has reached 68,668 in the country.

Meanwhile, 15 individuals lost their life due to COVID-19 in Nepal in the last 24 hours. The number of death due to the deadly disease has reached 578 in the country.
