Century Commercial Bank’s Net Profit Decreases

The net profit of Century Commercial Bank (CCBL) has declined by 28.25 percent to Rs 466.5 million in the second quarter of the current FY compared to Rs 650.2 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Decrease in net interest income and operating profit decreased its net profit. During the period, the net interest income of the bank decreased by 20.13 percent to Rs 1.22 billion from Rs 1.57 billion of the last FY.

Similarly, its operating profit decreased by 30.34 percent to Rs 634.4 million.

Along with net profit, its EPS also fell to Rs 10.33 from Rs 15.45.

The bank collected deposit of Rs 83.78 billion and extended loan of Rs 69.25 billion. The bank with Rs 9.03 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 1.70 billion. The bank has distributable profit of Rs 250.4 million.

The bank has P/E ratio of 21.20 times and net worth per share of Rs 118.87.
