Nepal Reinsurance Company Invests Rs 17 Billion; 76% in FD of Commercial Banks

Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIC) has invested Rs 17.19 billion in various sectors as per the data provided by Insurance Board (IB).

During the period, the company has invested in government bonds, fixed deposit of A, B and C level BFIs, ordinary shares of listed companies and preference shares and debentures of BFIs.

The company has invested the highest amount i.e. Rs 13.08 billion in fixed deposits of A level BFIs. The amount is 76.09 percent of its total investment of Rs 17.19 billion.

Similarly, it has invested Rs 1.23 billion in B level BFIs and Rs 71,000 in C level BFIs.

Likewise, it has invested Rs 300 million in government bonds, Rs 1.22 billion in stocks of listed companies and Rs 1.35 billion in preference shares and debenture of BFIs.
