CEDB Hydropower Allots IPO, Hands Of More Than 1.4 Million Applicants Remained Empty

CEDB Hydropower Development Company has allotted its recently issued IPO on May 14 in the premises of its issue manager, Sunrise Capital.

A total of 1,637,659 applicants had applied for 24,645,735 units of shares. The issue was oversubscribed by 10.52 times.

As the issue was oversubscribed, the allotment took place under the Securities Issuance and Allotment Guidelines. According to that, only 234,195 applicants were provided 10 units of shares through the lottery. moreover, 4 of them have been provided additional 1 unit of shares

The hands of the remaining 1,403,464 applicants remained empty in the allotment. Similarly, 4,442 applicants were canceled.

The company issued 30 percent of its issued capital totaling 2,518,230 units of primary shares worth Rs 251.8 million to its shareholders from April 30.

Out of the total offered shares, the company had allocated 2 percent i.e. 50,365 units to employees and 5 percent i.e. 125,911 units to mutual funds. The general public could apply for the remaining 2,341,954 units of shares.
