NRB Issues Foreign Investment and Foreign Debt Management Guidelines; Eases FDI and Repatriation of Profit

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has eased the procedure of bringing foreign direct investment. The central bank, by issuing, Nepal Rastra Bank Foreign Investment and Foreign Debt Management Guidelines-2078 eased the process.

Now onwards, Nepalese can bring FDI without obtaining approval from NRB. Earlier, a NRB approval was mandatory to bring in even small investments. However, NRB has paved a way to bring FDI without any approval.

 Similarly, NRB has also eased repatriation of foreign investment and profit earned by foreign investors by facilitating easy exchange of foreign currency.
