Net Profit of Nepal Hydro Developer Declines by 65%

The net profit of Nepal Hydro Developer (NHDL) has decreased by 65.04 percent to Rs 11.2 million in the third quarter of the current FY.

In the corresponding period of the last FY, the company earned Rs 32.2 million in net profit.

A decrease in income from electricity and operating profit pulled down its net profit during the period.

In the review period, the income from electricity declined by 30 percent to Rs 63.7 million compared to Rs 86.9 million of the last FY.

Similarly, its operating profit declined by Rs 27.3 million to Rs 49.1 million. In the review period of the last FY, it earned Rs 76.4 million in operating profit.

The company with Rs 299 million in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 19.5 million.

The company logged EPS of Rs 5.02, net worth per share of Rs 106.53 and P/E ratio of 64.72 times.
