Rastriya Beema Sansthan To Increase Paid-Up Capital to Rs 2Bn

Rastriya Beema Sansthan (RBS) is set to increase its paid-up capital to Rs 2 billion. Ganga Ram Kandel, Chairman of Board of Directors of the company informed that the company will increase its paid-up capital of Rs 2 billion as per the requirement of the Insurance Board.

Kandel said that the company has sent a proposal regarding the capital increment to the Ministry of Finance.

Rashtriya Beema Sansthan has current paid-up capital of Rs 181 million.

The company earned Rs 7.57 billion net insurance premium in the FY 2077/78. During the period, it made payments of Rs 3.19 billion in claims.
