Maharjan resigned from the post of CEO of Prudential Insurance only two days ago.
As the newly resigned CEO of insurance companies are required to stay for a cooling period of six months before being appointed in the same position, Nepal Insurance appointed Maharjan as Deputy CEO.
The board of directors meeting of Nepal Insurance held on October 22 appointed Maharjan as Senior Deputy CEO for the next four years.
As per a source, he will be promoted to CEO after the end of the cooling period.
