Goodwill Finance Increases EPS along with its Net Profit

Goodwill Finance Company (GFCL) has published its second quarter report of the current FY. As per the report, the net profit as well as its EPS has increased compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.

The company earned a net profit of Rs 79.1 million in the review period compared to the review period of the last FY. A significant increase in net interest income helped to increase its net profit during the period.

During the period, the net interest income increased by 138.35 percent and operating profit by 16.46 percent. Meanwhile, its net fee and commission decreased by 16.88 percent. In the review period, the company incurred an impairment charge of Rs 36.1 million. the company logged a distributable profit of Rs 8.5 million in the period.

Along with net profit, its EPS increased to Rs 16.74.

The company increased its paid-up capital by 9.10 percent and reserve fund by 7.02 percent. Similarly, its deposits increased by 3.02 percent and loan extension by 8.65 percent.
