Net Profit of Nepal Telecom Declines with Income

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has published its first-quarter report of the current FY. As per the company’s report, its net profit has declined compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.

In the review period, the company earned net profit of Rs 2.22 billion which is 1.52 percent less compared to Rs 2.25 billion of the review period of the last FY.

the decline in net profit can be attributed to the decline in sales. The sales of the company has fallen by 7.14 percent to Rs 9.07 billion. Meanwhile, its other income increased by 66.73 percent to Rs 1.96 billion.

The company with Rs 18 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 79.29 billion. It logged EPS of Rs 49.46, net worth per share of Rs 540.51 and P/E ratio of 16.48 times.
