The total insurance premium declined by 4.79 percent compared to the corresponding period of the last FY.
In the last Kartik, the companies had earned Rs 48.32 billion in total insurance premium.
During the period, all companies excluding Rastriya Beema Sanstha, Union Life, Prime Life, Gurans Life, LIC Nepal, Prabhu Life, Reliable Nepal and Met Life have increased their insurance premium.
The companies earned Rs 9.11 billion as the first insurance premium and Rs 36.89 billion as renewed premium.
In the review period, the companies issued 10,067,858 new insurance policies. As per the data of Insurance Board, the companies have a total of 13,942,309 active policies.
The data shows that Nepal Life has contributed 28.07 percent to the total premium amounting to Rs 12.91 billion. It earned Rs 12.55 billion in the review period of the last FY.
Meanwhile, National Life increased its premium significantly by 20.92 percent to Rs 5.49 billion compared to Rs 4.54 billion of the last FY.
