Premium Collection of Non-Life Insurance Companies Exceed 13Bn; 10 Record Decline

The non-life insurance companies have collected a total insurance premium of nearly Rs 13.21 billion by the fourth month of the current FY as per the data published by Nepal Insurance Authority.

The collection increased by 5 percent compared to Rs 12.58 billion of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Out of 19 non-life insurance, Rastriya Beema Company logged the highest premium collection of Rs 1.31 billion which is 9.92 percent of the total premium collected.

Shikhar Insurance comes second with Rs 1.27 billion in premium collection followed by Sagarmatha Insurance with Rs 1.06 billion and Neco Insurance with Rs 1.04 billion in premium collection.

Meanwhile, former General Insurance logged the lowest collection of Rs 32.56 million.

Moreover, Rastriya Beema Company also logged the highest growth in premium collection. It increased its premium collection by 169.28 percent.

On the other hand, Prudential Insurance increased its premium collection by the lowest percentage of 0.97 percent.

 

 Ten Companies Logs Decline in Premium Collection

In the mean time, ten non life insurance companies including former Sanima General and General Insurance have logged decline in premium collection. Neco Insurance, Prabhu Insurance,Shikhar, Ajod,  General Insurance Company, Himalayan Everest, Sagarmatha, Premier, NLG and United Insurance logged a decrease in premium collection during the period.
