Net Profit of Janaki Finance Declines

Janaki Finance (JFL) has published its second quarter report of the current FY.

As per the report, the company has earned net profit of Rs 14.5 million compared to Rs 35.5 million in the corresponding period of the last FY. The net profit declined by 59 percent during the review period.

Although the company increased its net interest income, decrease in net fee and commission income and impairment charge pulled down its net profit.

The company raised its net interest income by 6.15 percent and net fee and commission by 99.92 percent. Moreover, the company’s impairment charge increased to Rs 63.1 million from Rs 33.2 million, due to which its operating profit declined by 57.98 percent.

Along with its net profit, its EPS declined to Rs 4.23. The company logged P/E ratio of 100.62 times and net worth per share of Rs 136.92.

The company with Rs 610.4 million in paid-up capital decreased its reserve fund by 25.15 percent.

During the period the company increased its deposits by 9.22 percent and loan extension by 5.34 percent.
