Lumbini General Insurance Increases Net Profit

Lumbini General Insurance (LGIL) has earned a net profit of Rs 104.9 million in the second quarter of the current FY.

The net profit increased by 1.06 percent compared to Rs 103.8 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

During the period, the company collected net insurance premium of Rs 509.6 million. The net insurance premium increased by 48.27 percent compared to Rs 343.7 million of the corresponding period of the last FY.

Moreover, the company earned Rs 144.2 million from reinsurance commission and Rs 29.4 million from investment, loans and other income.

 The company with Rs 2.31 billion in paid-up capital has reserve fund of Rs 253.7 million and an insurance fund of Rs 845.9 million.

The company logged EPS of Rs 15.98, net worth per share of Rs 186.98 and P/E ratio of 23.91 times.
