Issuing a notice, NTA directed the company to give quality services to its customers. The authority highlighted that its services do not reach some places in the country.
The authority noted given that telecommunication is an essential service, the operation of such a company should not be closed until the permission gets terminated.
Its license is ending on April 15. However, the authority states that it has started getting complaints regarding closer of operation before license termination.
Smart Telecom has an outstanding payment of Rs 30 billion to the government.
If the company does not pay the renewal fee to the government, it will be undertaken by the government.
