Presenting the budget for the upcoming FY, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat announced that the government estimates to spend Rs 1043.39 billion i.e. 88 percent of allocated fund in current expenses, Rs 258.34 billion i.e. 67.91 percent of capital expenditure and Rs 203.26 billion in financial expenses in the current FY.
The government estimates the economy to grow by only 2.16 percent in this current fiscal year.
