The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has issued a clarification regarding capital gain tax (CGT).
Issuing a notice on May 31, the IRD clarifies that no change has been made in the provision that states the final tax for a stock investor is the 5 percent or 7.5 percent CGT paid for a gain as per the existing law.
