According to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold is Rs 112,500 per tola and tejabi gold is Rs 111,950 per tola.
The gold price increased by Rs 500 per tola.
On May 31, the price of fine gold was Rs 112,000 per tola and tejabi gold was Rs 111,450 per tola which was the highest price recorded till the day.
Similarly, the silver price also gains Rs 15 to Rs 1,410 per tola.
The bullion price is increasing since the government raised the custom duty of gold and silver by 15 percent on May 29, through budget. Morevoer, it also imposed 2 percent luxury tax on diamonds, pearls, gold and silver worth Rs one million.
