Non-Life Insurance Companies Earns above Rs 40 Bn in Premium in Last FY

Non-life insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 40.57 billion in the last FY.

As per the data published by Nepal Insurance Authority, the insurance premium increased by 3.59 percent compared to Rs 39.16 billion of the previous FY.

During the period, Shikhar Insurance earned the highest premium of Rs 5.52 billion. It is 13.61 percent of the total premium earning by non-life insurance company.

Shikhar Insurance is followed by Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance with Rs 4.55 billion and Siddhartha Premier Insurance with Rs 4.51 billion in premium collection.

Meanwhile, National Insurance earned the lowest premium of Rs 1.01 billion in the review period.

In terms of growth, Prabhu Insurance raised it premium by the highest i.e. 22.20 percent during the period. The company that earned Rs 1.35 billion in premium in the previous FY logged Rs 1.65 billion in premium in the last FY.

Meanwhile , three non-life insurance companies including Rastriya Beema Company, Siddhartha Premier Insurance and Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance logged decline in premium collection.
