Chilime Hydropower’s Net Profit Declines with Sales

Chilime Hydropower Company (CHCL) has published fourth quarter report of the last FY. as per the report, its net profit declined compared to the corresponding period of the previous FY.

During the period, it earned net profit of Rs 694.5 million which is 7.92 percent less than Rs 754.2 million earned during the previous FY.

Decline in sales can be attributed to a decline in net profit.

In the review period, it sales income declined by 4.49 percent to Rs 1.12 billion compared to Rs 1.18 billion of the previous FY.

During the period, its operating profit also declined by 9.35 percent. meanwhile, its financial income increased by 16.67 percent and other income by 26.64 percent.

Along with its net profit, its EPS declined by 1.60 to Rs 9.57. the company logged net worth per share of Rs 145.49 and P/E ratio of 56.66 times.

The company with Rs 7.25 billion in paid-up capital has retained earnings of Rs 3.30 billion.
