Insurance Companies Raises Loans Against Policies

Apparently, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) listed life insurance companies have increased loans against policies in the last FY.

The companies increased such loans by 26 percent i.e. by Rs 16.26 billion compared to the corresponding period of the previous FY.

NEPSE listed eight life insurance companies extended loans against policies of Rs 78.36 billion. Out of them, Nepal Life Insurance extended the highest loan against policies of Rs 30.45 billion. The loan amount increased by 22.96 percent during the period.

In terms of growth, Sanima Reliance Life Insurance has logged the highest growth of 408.62 percent. It extended loan against policies of Rs 1.04 billion.

Meanwhile, IME Life Insurance has extended the least loan against policies. It extended loans of Rs 500 million during the period.
