Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal called up an emergency cabinet meeting to address the price hike following which the meeting decided to withdraw the decision.
On Saturday, the government had raised the fuel price.
PM Dahal has directed Nepal Oil Corporation to withdraw the price hike.
The board of directors meeting of NOC held on Saturday night decided to adjust the fuel price by increasing petrol price by Rs 2 per liter and diesel and kerosene price by Rs 6 per liter and LPG by Rs 215.
