Most of Commercial Banks Cut Interest Rates

Commercial banks  in operation have published interest rates for the month of Kartik. As per the interest rates notices, most of them have cut the rates for the month.

According to the notices, 14 banks have cut down their interest rates, 4 have continued while 2 banks have raised their rates for Kartik.

Among the banks, Everest Bank has cut the interest rates with highest percentage of 1.83 percent point. The bank which is providing 11.054 percent interest rate in individual fixed deposit has brought down the rates to 9.224 percent. Similarly, Prime Commercial Bank, Nabil Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank has also brought down the rates by 1 percent.

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank and Rastriya Banijya Bank have kept the rates intact. Moreover, Nepal SBI Bank and NMB Bank has raised the rates for the month.
