Short-term Stock Investors Paid More CGT in Asoj

Short term stock investors have paid more capital gain tax in the month of Asoj compared to that paid by long term investors.

As per the Central Depository System (CDSC), short term investors have paid more capital gain tax (CGT) in Asoj compared to the month of Bhadra.

In the month of Asoj, the government collected Rs 219.5 million in CGT which is 56.76 percent growth compared to Bhadra.

In the month, short term investors have left long term investors behind in terms of CGT payment. During the month, short term investors paid Rs 157.6 million CGT while long term investors paid only Rs 61.9 million in CGT.

In Bhadra, the government collected 140 million CGT in which CGT paid by short term and long term investors were somewhat equal.
